Studies have revealed that 85% of self-made millionaires read two or more books per month

Is it a coincidence or a pattern ?

Well, let's find out!

#1 It has been a proven habit with other successful people in the past.

We all know about the universal laws; Newton's law, gravity, and others that my emotional brain cannot recall from my physics class.

Similarly, there are the laws of attraction, transmutation, and vibration, that I'm more familiar with.

These are the subtle laws that govern how things work.

That, a particular action results in a particular predicted outcome.

We'll, if you heard that 85 percent of self-made millionaires read two or more books per month, wouldn't you want to at least test that theory?

Especially when you hear from Randall Bell on; “Me We Do Be The Four Cornerstones of Success,” who says that;

“Those who read seven or more books per year are 122% more likely to be millionaires than to those who never read or only read one to three books.”

The list that cements this theory is endless with protégés like Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Mark Cuban, and Elon Musk attributing a big part of their success to reading.

I know what you are thinking;

Phyian, Success is a product of many things.

I agree, but we'd be foolish to ignore the pattern-like habits exhibited by people who attract success.

You know what they say;

You don't just become successful, you become the type of person who attracts success.

#2 They get to meet thousands of brilliant minds.

Our time alive is limited.

We can only meet and learn from so many people.

The most beautiful part about reading is that it allows you listen to the most brilliant minds and learn how they think, perceive and approach different issues.

It is a principle, that people who attract success are learners and networkers.

Reading is exactly that; learning and networking.

#3 It improves their leadership skills.

At 23, I was leading teams across Africa as Co-Founder of FemTech.

Some will call it luck, and perhaps it was.

I grew significantly, in my leadership and as an individual.

The tool that supported my ability to pitch, influence, and grow my business acumen was my reading habits.

I'm certain I wouldn't be as competent and articulate had I not grown in my reading and learning.

Reading had a similar effect on Barack Obama.

His avid reading evolved him into an informed, eloquent, and reflective individual; values regarded as critical to great leadership.

#4 Their communication and writing skills improve

A friend recently asked me how I've managed to work with a few influencers and I pondered on that question for a while.

Although many factors are at play, mainly them choosing to do so, I believe my communication skills; in both writing and speaking played part.

The only way to show the value of what you do is through concise communication.

This continuous improvement only came about through reading and practice.

The most important and subtle change that readers experience is an improvement in their language skills.

Some of the world's greatest orators like Maya Angelou and Oprah were avid readers who attributed books to supporting and framing their language, hence allowing them to develop eloquent presentations of their thoughts and ideas.

#5 It pushes them to take action

Finally, you can read all the books in the world, but without action, none of it will matter.

Consistent reading often pushes you.

Hearing that wealthy people save 20% of their income is important, but consistently reading about it, creates a subconscious nudge for you to take action.

Listen to Dwight;

Read, look up, take action and live!

Thank you for reading!

Don't share please!
